Hello, family and friends!

Taking on new events and encountering new terrain never falls short when it comes to the car culture of Ontario! I am delighted to announce another memorable weekend in 2017, where Behn showcased his modified 2000 Volkswagen Jetta MK4 VR6 for Round 3 of the Canadian Sports Compact Series.

Headed into the countryside- while the venue seemed to take place on a motorsports track- the circumstances garnered substantial anticipation- especially for myself as a hobbyist photographer looking to collect new angles for an automotive portfolio.

While I typically know that the city core is most populated for car shows and auto events, a more dense population comes with more daily-driven project cars- but the countryside delivers ways the car culture in the city cannot compare. CSCS Round 3 did not only cater to the compositions of stance cars, aftermarket parts and modifications- opening doors to another venue of car photography. Conquering travels from Newmarket, Ontario, to Cayuga, where CSCS Round 3 hosted an exceptional auto event at Toronto Motorsports Park, you already know I was live in the flesh with my Sony A300 camera.

As a seasoned automotive photographer, I was thrilled to capture the intricate details of these remarkable custom car setups. While the turnout was not comparable to interstate car shows, the showcase and display featured a limited number of show cars, and each project was unique and deserving of recognition.

There was no doubt that the substitution of quantity sacrificed to delegate through sheer quality- where each custom car presented for judging was thoroughly planned and well executed. Demonstrated throughout the coverage, from aggressive stance and tight fitment come with well-planned aftermarket details.

Furthermore, through the active familiarity behind Behn and his MK4 Jetta- it feels rewarding to notice his vehicle in line with such extraordinary displays. Team N3xtLevel was in the mix- where a friendly face became more familiar. As our attendance in car culture has been on point in 2017- there have been plenty of occasions where we have touched down with Jose Da Cruz and his LibertyWalk 2009 Audi S5 on WaterCooledIND MD1 Wheels!

Near the show cars was where the track was found- open for photography and providing exceptional perspectives for automotive media. Toronto Motorsports Park is a premier racing facility that features both a dragway, consisting of a quarter-mile drag strip, and a road course, which spans three kilometres long. The venue accommodates a variety of events, including drag racing, open track days, and other racing-related activities.

I experimented with panning photography and captured several images, particularly of the Honda Civic EK Hatchback, which recollected me with the sole hype I find behind articulating automotive photography compositions. As my first experience in the subculture of motorsports, I caught first-hand feelings from those who praise that there is no better feeling than a day at the track. From the smell of petrol and burnt rubber- the sounds of skirts and high horsepower sends kept the day lively.

The CSCS season frequently generates high interest and urgency as attendees eagerly anticipate the events. During the summer, custom car owners and race-car drivers establish profiles, where their statistics and ratings accumulate based on attendance and participation. CSCS maintains a consistent passion through the summer, where traditional car shows occur once annually. The event fostered a sociable yet competitive atmosphere, creating an unforgettable experience for all attendees.
